VVC is very different from online vidding circles. Merlin may be a highly-vidded fandom, but it hasn't really inundated VVC as some others have. Like, there were 37 vids in Premieres last VVC, and only 2 were Merlin vids, even though it was a very hot fandom at the time. So, it's not always easy to tell if or how much attendees are familiar with a particular show/movie, even extremely popular ones.
