Congratulations! All that hard work paying off in Emptiness! Space!
I've been doing the de-cluttering and de-accessioning exercise too this past year. It doesn't help that I've been the semi-final resting place for computers and electronics that friends and family are off-loading. Because I am (WAS, WAS!) a pack-rat, I have (HAD!) the space, and for some reason have this stupid belief that dead electronics can be resurrected if you just open them up and poke around a little. There are 7 hard drives neatly stacked in the bookshelf next to my desk. Somewhere on those drives are the remnants of my past - Windows 95, Windows NT, Windows 2000 - and the vids I lost when the drives crashed. Plus the drives from the old Tivo, minus the 2 drives I smashed for educational purposes.
I guess I'm waiting for the coming Great Hard Drive Shortage, or maybe the Zombie Hard Drive Apocalypse, when the dead drives come to life and cannabalize my nice new Mac.
