Yeah, the plain old Google front page was my homepage for-practically-ever, but it got ridiculously cluttery and annoying lately. Plus, the local news just did a piece on how Google took ad money from tons of fraudulent sites. We're talking professional fraudsters who, to give you one example, sold and shipped thousands and thousands of very authentic-looking Rosetta Stone discs that turned out to be blank (and still may be doing so; now that Google's been sued and has to verify advertisers, they're struggling to figure out who's legit and who isn't) -- all thanks to Google displaying their websites so prominently. It was really appalling. I'm SO glad to have startpage.

I know they're still tracking everything, but I'm doing my best to avoid them. How did they go from "Don't be evil" to this BS? *sigh*
