I run all of my various chat accounts through Digsby, including google's. When I logged onto gmail yesterday for the first time in ages (cause I run that through Thunderbird), I noticed that it had pulled my status text from Digsby. So even using a separate client for things doesn't seem to circumvent the Google Tentacles of Evil.
