I also have to say, this totally makes me want to set up like, a one-month modern mailing list experience -- set up a mailing list where, if you sign up, you promise to post everything, meta and fic, to the list first & exclusively for one week before you post it to your lj/tumblr/whatever, and we all just play on the list together for one month.
