These posts are awesome, and I loved reading them and being flooded with memories! The bit about posting finished stories spread out over days actually reminded me of one of my best fannish experiences, which was when torch posted a new XF story, one part a day, and just happened to start on the first day of my spring break, so I could read a new chapter every morning first thing and really take my time with it, and reread. I don't know why, but that felt so magical--way more than if it had all been posted at once.

And oh my god, the tribulations of VHS! I threw out all my remaining tapes a couple years ago, a gigantic pile, and even though I'd long since gotten everything that was on them on DVD, it felt wrong.
