Oh, yes, and invest in a TV that was able to play both
It always made me so cranky that in the US we couldn't get tvs that could play everything! It would have made my life so much easier in the 90s, when I was an active Pros fan (and trying to get hold of things like Robin of Sherwood, etc.).
It was a huge relief when multi-region DVD players came along, but you had to be so careful to get one that also had a built-in PAL-NTSC converter, because if you missed that part you'd just spent $300+ for no reason.
These memories are making YouTube look better and better.
*g* SO true. But remember what it was like back in 2005/2006 or so? With the terrible compression, and the stuttering and jerking, and the inevitable loss of sync...
