I have a couple of (non-fannish) tumblrs in my RSS reader and I seem to be name-squatting because I had to create one to try and search for something once, but yeah, tumblr just kind of confuses me. It's like the antithesis of everything I've been conditioned to do online. Reposting other people's content! Hotlinking! *brain explodes*

Not to mention that pictures and fanart are just... not what I care about, fannishly, and I sort of hate gifs. I think tumblr is just Not For Me. Which makes me feel old, and like I'm going to become the LJ/DW equivalent of one of those people who is desperately clinging to mailing lists or zines.

But this post at least makes it a lot less confusing, so thank you.
