I too have found Tumblr frustrating. The one thing I haven't been able to figure out makes me feel stupid (haven't read your whole post yet, so the answer may be there.). When you reblog something, and underneath are comments and replies, marked like email used to be (before everyone started top replying!) I can't figure out how to get my comment in there showing I made it. And I have no idea if that made a speck of sense.
The one thing I do know is that Tumblr is a time sucker. I'll pop on 'for just a second', and 20 Tom Hiddleston reblogs later.... [sigh]
