But otoh, gambling also potentially results in things like cuddling for warmth! (Which I've never yet gotten, but someday I am sure I will.)

Mmm, cudding for warmth. Mmmmmmmmmm.

Isn't that the kind of thing you could use in your Wild Card square? The rules don't seem entirely clear as to whether you can choose any prompt off the big list for your Wild Card, or whether you need to repeat one of the prompts from your specific card, and [personal profile] mollyamory wasn't sure. But if it's from the entire list, which does seem likely, then c-for-w seems perfectly available!

Plus, you don't need to fill the entire card; all you have to do, in the end, is a minimum of five prompts

I keep forgetting this. So as long as I can complete five prompts in one of the patterns, I can then trade in for a new card if I want to (or keep the old one if I love it). That's very handy! There are definitely enough prompts on a card to help me avoid pregnancies if I need to. (...I did not think I'd be writing that sentence.).

with Troy sitting there demanding to know if they're really telling him that an OCTOPUS ate their assignment...

Um. Hey. Can I have your brain? I mean, just for borrowing. I'd give it back when I was done. (I first wrote that I'd get it cleaned and then give it back, but then I thought, you might not want it to come back quite clean...)

That's the sort of flexible thinking I need to cultivate, clearly! When imagined flexibly, I suspect there are very few prompts I couldn't give a whirl, although I am still no on the pregs plz. (Although, okay, thinking creatively, it isn't like that requires mpreg or me giving a female character I like an unexpected pregnancy if I don't want to... could be more like a POI number that ends up involving someone pregnant or some such...)

Just if you are still thinking about it!

I'm still thinking about it! I was talking last night about how I need to learn to write short. And the only way to do that, it seems to me, is to try doing it! (Instead of...you know...talking about it and wishing it would just kind of happen. *g*) And this particular bingo is one way I can imagine loosening up the writey muscles, because of how much other peoples' cards usually interest me.

I'll dither on it a little more, and then see if I can sneak up on myself and push myself over the edge.
