Yeah, when I thought Storage Wars was "look at the cool stuff people leave behind", it was fun, but... that's not actually what it's about. So.

Also I just saw one where one of them found a locker with $300k of art, and another someone found like $50k of rare coins or something, and wow, I feel so bad for the people who lost control of those lockers. All I can think is someone died, and no one in the family knew they had stuff in storage, so didn't pay the bills. The only good thing about them was the art one, the guy who got it actually recognized it as great art, and didn't just toss it.

Re my own tossage, heh. Lots of stuff! No art or rare coins, though. Stuff like a "tapestry" (really just a patterned cotton... thing. Twin-bedspread-sized, but not a spread, too thin for that) that I'd had since college and that I'd used ages ago as a divider to split the messier part of that room away from view from the kitchen. I decided it had been too near the kitty litter for too long and was probably just drenched in dust, so I tossed it. Likewise an ancient jean jacket I'd used for holding buttons -- out it went.

An old covered roasting pan that on the one hand was kind of cool, but on the other I'd used in the past to catch water dripping from the ceiling, and didn't think I'd be able to bring myself to cook in again. My old cat carrier - hardest thing to toss, partly for sentiment (wtf, me) and partly for practicality (spare carrier!!). But it was big and plastic and took up a lot of room, and I haven't needed it since I brought Dari and Hobbes home from the shelter, so out it went. Those two were one bag just by themselves.

Almost all my gift-wrapping supplies - wrapping paper, tissue paper, gift bags, ribbon. They'd been too long in a kitty-litter-dusty place, better to start fresh.

Plastic bowls and containers that I just don't use anymore; an old spare litter box (clean, but used - I have two more that are new that I kept instead).

Bags and bags of old rock salt - the salt was still good, but the bags it was in were not, and I wasn't in the mood to transfer it. Old ice scrapers and ratty gloves.

And lots of little stuff I don't remember, on top of lots of used paper towels and such as I cleaned my way through.

Oh, and a bunch of old frisbees and yo-yos, my old D&D dice, and my ancient baseball glove - although I admit, I kept the baseball, it's still in good shape. Those came out of my bedroom, though; I'd been meaning to suck it up and toss them for ages, and figured now was the time. *g*
