K, K, and I recently talked about BN and how it fits into the USA Network "brand," and the thing to keep in mind is this: BN is the anomaly, not the norm. None of their other shows are anywhere near this dark and intense. And that's why I'm worried. I can totally see the showrunners and network wanting to really pull out all the stops and go out with a bang -- literally.

That said, I really, sincerely hope you're right. I've just been burned (har har, pun intended ;) ) too many times in the past by shows suddenly veering into, 'OMG, WTF are you even DOING?!' territory.
