Yeah -- I'm actually really glad of this question because it let me sort that out in my head. I'm a sucker for romance tropes where people overcome the huge obstacles to being together, or have their worlds tipped on end because of the other person, so "straight guy realizes he's actually in love with his male friend" is just right up my alley. And I also like one-true-love type things, where this person is THE person (reality be damned *g*). So WNGWJLEO sorta kinda feeds that -- but it's not really accurate, because, dude. So yay for a more accurate description of the trope I actually like, instead of trying to shoehorn it into the older one.
