Aww, thanks for your thoughts - I still get so furious when I think about the Carter thing that I mostly have to be in denial about it, but this helps! Although I've decided he didn't sleep with the flight attendant - I think the show was weirdly ambiguous about it and the signs are that originally he was supposed to, and then the showrunners changed their minds about it.
