I don't understand why so many people (on all sides of the issue!) are so utterly convinced that the only reason someone might disagree with them is because they haven't thought about it, because obviously if they'd *thought* about it, and if they were reasonable people, they'd agree!
I just. It is possible to think clearly and carefully about an issue, and come to a considered, rational, reasonable opinion that is different from someone else's.
