Here via elynross, and I just wanted to say THANK YOU, holy crap. This is a ridiculously useful post. I've had Ghostery for a while and Disconnect for facebook, but I hadn't realized they'd put out an extension that covered all social media including Google. (Probably redundant with Ghostery, like you said, but for privacy stuff I am firmly of the mindset that you can't be too careful.)
I just don't know if I can move away from Gmail. /o\ Especially since a lot of employers will eye you sideways if you don't use Gmail. SIGH. Something I'll have to slowly work on.
