Heh -- I still have all of TS on VHS as well -- it's not like we're ever going to get full DVDs! And agreed, the existing rips aren't great, from what I've seen. I've got bunches more, too, including my full run of Kung Fu: the Legend Continues, Now & Again, Invisible Man (we're never getting season 2 on DVD *cries*)... anything I think I can't replace, I keep. They're finally out of my living room and stored in a friend's basement, safe and sound, but I can't get rid of them.

Oh, awesome - I had friends who did that, but was never into anime so never had an experience with it myself.
I also almost feel like I should make a post about being underage during the mailing list years, which was... a challenge.

Still, it's the sort of thing no one talked about, and it'd be really cool to see it laid out there. It really is completely different than today.
