Oh, great post! - and yeah, this is one of the things that's appealed to me about the show from early on. To be honest, I really hate the Jessica plot, but I do think it's there not so much to make us feel sorry for John but to explain some things about his fucked-upness, and (interestingly) to show us Harold's reaction to it. I have hopes for better uses of Grace coming up (because at least she is still alive). And meanwhile, *hugs Zoe and Carter and all of them*. Yay show.
