Yeah, I would have been totally okay with a panel that talked about the vids, too; I would have liked to have seen what parallels were being drawn in the various things, since I knew I was missing a lot. It was just the mismatch of panel to vidshow that left me confused.
I have a sense of most of the shows in the vidshow, but I'm not very good at parsing vids on first viewing, so it was too much work for me to manage to pull off -- parsing a vid and keeping in mind all the possible things in it the VJ might have intended to contrast, then parsing the second vid and matching up all of its things to successfully contrast it with the first vid, before moving on to the next pair. My brain just doesn't work that fast. *rueful* (Also, I tend to sit in the back, so I only see 1/2-2/3 of any vid, because of heads *g*)
Really, even more explicit blurbs would have helped me a lot; I almost never read them in advance (spoilers! *g*), but looking at them after would have framed the vids while they were still fresh in my mind. (But listening to people talk about them would have helped a lot more.)
Thank you for putting up these posts, btw; I am loving getting to relive bits of VVC through your posts!
