arduinna: a tarot-card version of Linus from Peanuts, carrying a lamp as The Hermit (Default)

(still taking questions/suggestions, if you want me to talk about anything in particular - mixing up my responses to those with other stuff as I go)

As part of my "dammit I will be more fannish" decision, I signed up for an [community profile] hc_bingo card. The official bingo period ends, uh, tomorrow (Jan. 5), so I suspect I will not succeed on that front, but the amnesty period lasts through June 1, so I still have a shot at getting something done, at least.

My hc_bingo card:

family
burns cursed depression brainwashing / deprogramming
unrequited pining
bullet wounds on the run shipwrecked allergic reaction
rejection accept injury to protect someone
WILD CARD
deadline / time bomb amnesia
crucifixion protection minor illness or injury loss of powers hazing / bullying
sensory deprivation
corporal punishment magical trouble betrayal Stockholm syndrome

Agreed! I am particularly nuts about the center horizontal row... rejection, accept injury to protect someone, Wild Card (any prompt from the prompt list), deadline/time bomb, and amnesia.

Arduinna was saying the other day that it basically reads like a Person of Interest episode. :D :D :D

Only 500 words makes a fill!! That's the length of a Shack!

The world can always use more Shacks. And if the cold weather has you disinclined to write a proper Canadian Shack, what about something more tropical? Surely characters stumble into similarly isolated and idyllic Island Shacks ALL THE TIME.
