♥ Cowboys! ♥ They really just couldn't hit my competence kink more - I love how they hit every challenge and just cope with it, whatever it takes. Now they just need to stay in first till it's over. *crosses fingers*
Dan and Jordan are still right up there with them as my second favorites - smart racers (they were so right about Brent and Caite's ridiculous decision to U-Turn Brandy and Carol - they should have tried to take out Jet and Cord, rather than letting pique rule the day), and I love their relationship. Dan coming over to hug Jordan during the noodle-making was just so sweet, and exactly what Jordan needed. <3
Brent and Caite are a world of meh for me, or worse. I really don't want them to win. Caite, omg, wtf, you do not treat a grown man like some sort of doll just because he's small! ugh ugh ugh. And damn, I hadn't realized that Ping Ping died last month. :(
I had a feeling this would be a non-elim, and I was sure of it when the detectives were still working on that puzzle after sundown; Phil would have come out to tell them to give it up if they'd been eliminated. They're still getting on my nerves, but it looks like Phil has a good time with them.
Best image of the ep: the woman in the stands at the football stadium wearing the facemask with the open mouth printed on it. Hee! That was awesome.

Date: 2010-04-26 04:00 pm (UTC)And yay for Jet and Cord and Dan and Jordan. I'm rooting for the cowboys, but wouldn't mind much if Dan and Jordan won. They've sure earned it.
I'm surprised Brent and Caite are doing so well, but they do seem to be in great shape physically. Also, they aren't afraid of stuff. There have been some teams in the past who looked good at the beginning but fell behind due to fear of heights, water, animals, bugs, cars, people, etc, and seemed unprepared for the idea that the challenges were going to require them to do things that are hard. Brent and Caite haven't shown that at all so far. I think it might come from working as models, where you're expected to put up with things like wearing a wet swimsuit on a freezing cold beach without protest.
The big problem with the cops is their overconfidence, and the tall guy who gets set on one way of doing things and won't consider other options. The shorter guy I'm afraid is going to have a heart attack if they keep going much longer. He can't seem to run any distance without problems, and when they had to carry the heavy incense logs up the steps of the temple, I seriously thought he was going to die. I was thinking that I hope Buddhist monks know CPR.

You're right about their lack of fear, though, and their general fitness. Thank god the cowboys are equally unafraid and far fitter - it gives me hope that Brent and Caite won't just jog into the win.
And yeah, I'd be fine with a Dan and Jordan win, too. I really like those two, and they've worked their asses off for this.
The cops -- argh. The overconfidence is so freaking annoying, and if I never hear the words "wolf" or "cubs" again it will be too soon. You're totally right about both of them; the only reason they were stuck at that puzzle for so long was because he couldn't move past having to find that one piece he thought he needed. And OMG, me too, at the incense challenge with the short one! I honestly thought we were watching him have a heart attack - that wheezing was terrifying.
