ARRRRGH.
Why are the food gods suddenly beaming upon Mike Isabella so hard? That should have gone to Antonia, dammit. (And by the time it got down to a tiebreaker with Wolfgang Puck, I was convinced they were going to pull one of those "we couldn't decide, so you're both going" deals.) Even if they went back to the original meal, I'm sorry, but there's no way that salty miso soup is any worse than dry fried chicken with batter that slides right off (and apparently wasn't crispy). Who sous-vides chicken before frying it??
I'm going to be so unhappy if Mikey wins the whole thing. At least Richard seems to have broken his block, because damn, he's so much better than Mike. (I mean, in fairness, I wouldn't have blinked if he'd sous-vided chicken before frying it - but I would also have expected it to come out perfectly tender and juicy, and it would have. And the batter would be crispy because he would have dredged it in liquid nitrogen. So there.)
Also, I can never bring myself to watch the reunion shows, but Carla better win Fan Favorite, man. And possibly be given her own Food Network show.
If only next week were a Carla vs. Richard showdown!!
