It's hc_bingo time again! Last year got completely away from me, and once again I thought I should just throw in the towel, but what the heck. There was no penalty for not writing last year, so why not. I squinched my eyes up a bit and decided not to veto anything, and got this:

I have achieved the coveted "hudding for warmth" square! \o/ Which is even more charmingly called "cuddling" here, which I kind of adore, because seriously, let's just cut to the chase. *g* I'm also pretty pleased with the rest of this, as well; there are a couple here I'm a little iffy on, but there's almost nothing that's 100% outside my wheelhouse, even if they're not all completely in my comfort zone.

Oh, I'm so glad there's no penalty for falling down last round, because I surely did. Even though I had ideas! But ideas do not stories make...for some reason you actually gotta, like, write them down or something.

I know, right? That whole pesky step of writing the ideas down in some coherent manner; it trips me up every time. Hmf.

What is "first transformation," I wonder? I couldn't actually find that on the prompts list. Its vagueness certainly does lend itself to some interesting hurt/comforty ideas, though!

You were so brave, not to rule anything out. My hat is off to you.

It's a crack prompt, I think -- first time you transform into something else is probably going to be traumatic. As I've actually written crack transformation before, it's in my wheelhouse! *g*

Admittedly, my brain is full of POI, where I don't have particularly cracky reactions to stuff, but there are plenty of other options out there...

The not-vetoing was the result of being v v tired at the time, and also feeling vaguely like if I vetoed something, then got something else I really didn't want, I'd feel like I should have known to veto *that* instead, and figuring screw it -- at least I could just have an even playing field for myself! (... it made sense at the time *g*)

I'm pretty chuffed about this card. I was convinced I was making a mistake by not vetoing anything, and would wind up with a card full of various torture prompts and whatnot (I can write cracky things a whole lot easier than torture, humiliation/hazing, or even things like rape/non-con). So I was very wincy going to look at it, then had to sort of cheer. This? This I can do. Woo!

At varying times and to varying degrees: Mind control, falsely imprisoned, serial killers, grief, delirium, orphans, sacrifice, epidemics, abuse, PTSD, and possibly even first transformation. Sorry, I'm laughing at myself here. For someone who doesn't usually write angst, um, this novel. Wow. I had no idea it had so many H/C elements!
