arduinna: Granny from Once Upon a Time, sitting with a crossbow at the ready, with the caption "Who's your granny?" (granny)

I don't even know where today went. I meant to spend it doing at least vaguely productive things around the house, but not so much.

I've watched the first 10 minutes of Once Upon a Time -- more accurately, I started writing that at the 7-minute mark, when I was going to say something along the lines of "and eh, I don't know, last season just wasn't really working for me", but then I thought that in fairness I should keep going till the actual 10-minute mark.

Okay! I see we are taking off running this season! Holy cow. I was not actually expecting people to start dying quite that fast, or that dramatically. And Pan is the Home Office; I wasn't expecting that, either.

Also, yay, Mulan and Aurora are back! \o/

I'm not going to make it through the whole episode before midnight, but those are both very encouraging signs.

*still watching*

The mermaids are a little odd, but I like the tail-whapping ship attack, go them.

Oh, rats, she's not dead, at least not yet. *waits* Ah, there we go.

Man, I love Mulan's armor a whole lot. It makes sense that she's traveling with Neal, but I wish Aurora were there too.

... This group is appallingly bad at hiding their intent from their prisoners. "Let's try this way of getting her to talk!" "No, this way!" "Why not do this instead?" "That won't work!" good grief.

*dies* "Now may I resume killing her?!" Oh, Regina.

... Oh, bad bad move, Regina. Also, man, she really does use magic incredibly casually.

ack, midnight, posting

ETA: I kept watching, so I'm just gonna add the last 20 minutes' worth here.

Ahahaha Robin Hood, of course! Although, er, taking his hand off his bow long enough to drag his hood off his head, with at least one clear warrior standing right there, was kind of a huge mistake. Oh well.

I'm... kind of surprised that Bae knows how to do the uncloaking thing. His father hadn't really been the Dark One very long before Bae fled, and that was one hell of a long time ago now. He was surprisingly comfortable with that old cane whipping around his head in exactly the right sequence.

Regina is really just reveling in this not having to be a good person thing, isn't she?

... okaaay, it's an evil storm of anger inducement. The mermaid wasn't kidding about expecting them to kill each other. But Emma's immune.. oh, ack, Emma!

But hey, it worked, yay.

*cracks up at Rumple's annoyed little "yes, yes, it's me" gesture* It's like he figures he has to be more fey because of the clothes, but he's still more Gold than Rumple so it's all too absurdly over the top for him now. Hee hee hee.

... the hell? Was that little doll Bae's?

... how does Bae recognize Neverland on the basis of about four leaves on a tree in the background?

Okay, seriously, Regina's lines are kinda great in this. Xavier, hee!

Ahh, I figured that kid was darkside somehow. Although I admit, I was expecting him to be one of Pan's lieutenants, not Pan himself.

Okay, I guess I am watching next week. *g*
